Teen Participants

Hands of Peace seeks applicants for our Summer Program who are approximately 15-16 years old, who are deeply interested in learning about the many complexities of the conflict, and who are open to having a powerful, challenging and exciting intercultural experience.  All applicants must complete the online application and have an interview with a Hands of Peace staff member or volunteer.  Middle Eastern teens must be proficient in conversational English and have a valid passport and visa.  US teens must be available to participate in all the program activities (daytime and evening) and must also participate in some preparatory sessions prior to the Summer Program. Hands of Peace is actually the best thing that has happened to me up to now. In HOP we learn about the conflict but we also learn how to respect people and their differences. You find out that these people are actually just like you in a lot of ways.
